Heart for Hearts Rahel from Ethiopia is 14 inches tall, made of artist-type vinyl with well-rooted natural-textured, Afro-style hair. She is one of four returning Hearts for Hearts Dolls. |
Having originally entered the doll market for the playline in 2010, the Hearts For Hearts dolls have returned. The following is notification about the relaunch from Jennifer Crisanti, Director of Business Development for Splashworks.com:
The award-winning multicultural brand, Hearts For Hearts Girls is back. Our mission is to empower girls to become agents of change in their communities, and around the world. Four dolls, Rahel [shown above] from Ethiopia, Nahji from India, Dell from the USA, and Consuelo from Mexico are now available through Amazon Prime and specialty retailers.
It’s a brand built on a foundation of rich content. Girls can learn about the characters through their diary entries and they will be able to interact with characters in the upcoming mobile apps.
Together we CAN change the world — one heart at a time!
You can check out the dolls at : http://www.hearts4heartsgirls.comJennifer added:
Our team feels very lucky to be able to participate on this brand.
We have an opportunity to deliver the brand's messages through games and apps.
As we move forward, it will be important to continue to connect with the community.
I have attached a link to a promotional game on our site. There is more fun to come! Play the game at http://www.hearts4heartsgirls.com/play.
An empowered girl will become an empowered woman.
She's adorable!

Rahel is so pretty! I will have to consider getting her now that she will be offered again.
ReplyDeleteThey really are some beautiful, well-made dolls, GG. As you know or may not know, I have the first production Rahel and I love her. I purchased Nahji for my niece either for her birthday or for Christmas the year the dolls were originally released.

They have the cuties faces and like all of them. I plan on purchasing her and Nahji to give as a gift. I want little Surr to have dolls that look like her to start her doll journey.
ReplyDeleteThis line of dolls is perfect for little girls. If I had little girls to buy for, these would be at the top of my list, Brini.

I wanted to say back where you ask what is an SSE doll? I want to say that stands for Susie Sad Eyes Doll..
ReplyDeleteoften times one can find a Go Go Brigitte doll by searching under Susie Sad Eyes Clone. Or simply Hong Kong doll. There too is the doll which is really like SSE to me, unlike Go Go Brigitte is more Ideal Tammy size w/large head. but then closer Susie Sad Eyes Clone to me would be the Happy Haley doll.. she is the size of a Susie sad eyes.
I must have asked about SSE on my sister blog: Black Doll Collecting in a post about my then unknown doll from Holland (Go Go Brigette). I own a couple of SSE Soul Sister dolls, but did not make the connection when the abbreviation was typed. Thanks!
